The first week

Sometimes the smallest things take the most room in your heart. -Winnie the Pooh

Little Caleb's first week of life has been relatively easy. So far, though I miss sleep, he's been a dream. Thomas and I feel pretty lucky with him. It's been a seamless transition welcoming him to the family and we're so enjoying loving on those deliciously chunky cheeks.

- He is learning to follow voices.
- He loves his wubbanub although thus far, any pacifier will do.
- Speaking of, he's learning to find his thumb. And also his whole fist, which if he can fit in his mouth he will.
- Nursing champ!
- We had his first baby well visit and he's gained 5 ounces and 1 inch. His pediatrician didn't see a need to see him for his two week appointment since he's gaining weight so well. Clearly this bebe only gets bigger.

Liam has taken to his little brother marvelously. He gets right in his face, rubs his head and says, Hi, sweetie. You're so cute. Hi, sweetie. Over and over and over. It's the best.
