As a new mom of two, I find myself often saying What time is it? Life seems busy and slow all at once as new routines are being created. Sometimes an 11:00AM appointment seems early and I wonder how I'll get everything done before then. Other days, I feel like a wizard. The house is clean, babies are bathed, I'm dressed and makeup is on and I don't have spit up running down my back.
As I'm on maternity leave for the next several months, I want my time with my kids and husband to be purposeful. I've been enjoying cooking more and playing with Liam throughout the day. I'm allowing myself to sit on the couch to hold Caleb and not feel guilty about it. I don't want this special time to drift by and I look back and think What did I do with the time I was given?
This Mother's Day, I'm grateful for this new season in life. It's such a privilege to raise two boys and I want to really live and experience every minute of it.
