News worthy

So the other night at work, this happened...
Yep, that would be a car IN a building. My store is a drive-thru store located on the corner of two streets. There's a cute little flower shop next to us...and this would be the shop. Or the side of the shop. Here's the story...
I was working with Jen and Trent. It was a normal night, fairly busy but nothing too exciting. That is, until about 8:45pm hit. There was a car at the window who was waiting for their drinks. A car pulls up behind them, completely avoiding the speaker. (That is quite possibly the most annoying thing ever, by the way. People think they're better than the speaker and can order directly at the window. If you are one of those people, baristas hate you. FYI.) Anyways, the car avoided that speaker. Jenni, who was working drive-thru, says grumpily, "There's a drive up." (Meaning they've driven directly to the window). Immediately, we're all annoyed. No lie, we hate this, I'm telling you. Usually when this happens we pretend we don't know they are there which makes them drive around to the speaker. This time though, Jen decides to be nice and stay at the window. So the car (who knows to order at a speaker) drives away and all of a sudden the car behind them goes lurching forward and there's a loud noise. Earth shatteringly loud. It's hard to explain the layout of our store but it's important to know. The drive-thru goes around the building and you have to make a sharp left to get out. The flower shop is directly in front. After hearing the noise, Jen looks out the window and is like I think there was a car accident. I, who was working on bar, think the car collided with the car in front of them. I go look out the window and I'm like, "THE CAR IS IN FLOWERAMA (the name of the store)!!!!! THE CAR IS LITERALLY IN THE STORE!" A man who was outside comes to the window and says to call 911. We call the police and before you know it, the store is lit up with lights. Texas police car lights are no joke, just for the record. I'm pretty sure space could see what was going on. There was about six or seven cop cars, several fire trucks, an ambulance. Pretty intense. Long story not so short, the lady got her flip flops stuck or something on the accelerator and she ran into the building. Personally, I think something's a little fishy there cause there's not enough room to get that much speed and do that much damage. But it did provide an interesting night. Anddddd, we were on the news. Just sayin'.
